IMPORTANT
Violation of these rules will result in immediate disqualification and potential ban from future C0REX competitions. Play fair, hack smart.
Competition Format
- Jeopardy-style CTF with multiple categories
- Challenges include: Web, Crypto, Forensics, Reverse Engineering, PWN
- Points awarded based on challenge difficulty
- Scoreboard updates in real-time
- Ties broken by submission time
Flag Format & Submission
- All flags follow the format: C0REX{flag_content_here}
- Flags are CASE-SENSITIVE - pay attention to capitalization
- Submit flags exactly as found, including braces { }
- Submit flags through the platform only
- Multiple incorrect submissions may result in temporary lockout
Example: C0REX{th1s_1s_4n_3x4mpl3_fl4g}
General Rules
- Teams or individual participation allowed (check event details)
- Maximum team size: [SPECIFY NUMBER]
- Each participant/team must register with valid information
- Challenges may have multiple parts or dependencies
Prohibited Actions
- Attacking the CTF infrastructure or platform
- DDoS attacks against challenge servers
- Brute-forcing flags or submission endpoints
- Sharing flags or solutions with other teams
- Using multiple accounts
- Sabotaging other participants
- Attacking other participants or their systems
Allowed Tools & Techniques
- Any legitimate hacking tools (Burp Suite, Ghidra, etc.)
- Custom scripts and automation
- Online resources and documentation
- Collaboration within your team
- Googling and research
Hints & Support
Stuck on a challenge? Hints may be available (with point deductions). Contact organizers via Discord for technical issues only. No hints about solutions will be provided in public channels.
Prizes & Recognition
- Top 3 teams/individuals will be announced
- Prizes will be distributed according to event details
- First blood bonuses may apply to certain challenges
- Certificates awarded to winners and participants
Technical Details
- VPN access may be required for certain challenges
- Challenge files downloadable from platform
- Service restarts available if challenges are unresponsive
- Report broken challenges immediately
